Owners and admins Invite a teammate with the right role, and choose which creators they may work on.

Before you start

  • You need an owner or admin account. Only owners and admins see Members.
  • You need your teammate’s email address.

Choose a role

Each teammate gets one of three roles: To learn more, see What each team role can see and do.

Invite a teammate

1

Open the Members page

In OnlyX, click Settings. Then click Members. On a phone, Settings is under More.Members lists your team. Invites that nobody has accepted yet show under Pending invites.

2

Start the invite

Click Invite. The Invite a member window opens.
3

Enter the email address

In the Email field, enter your teammate’s email address.
4

Choose the role

In the Role menu, select Admin, Chatter or Content VA. The menu starts on Chatter. If you invite several people in a row, check it each time: it keeps the role you picked last.Under the menu, the window says what the role can do.
5

Pick their creators

Under Assigned creators, click each creator this person may work on. To pick all of them, click Select all. A chatter sees only the inbox of the creators you pick. This field does not show for Admin, because admins always see every creator. You can change the creators later.

6

Send the invite

Click Send invite. The message “Invite emailed to” and their address appears. The invite shows under Pending invites, with the date it expires.
The join link works for 7 days. If it runs out, resend the invite from Pending invites. Do not invite the same email again: OnlyX does not allow a second open invite.

What your teammate does

Your teammate gets an email from OnlyX with the button Accept invite. When they click it, a page opens with your workspace’s name and their role.
  • If they are new to OnlyX, they enter Your name, a Password of at least 8 characters, and Repeat password. Telegram is optional. Then they click Create account & join.
  • If they already have an OnlyX account with that email, they click Sign in to accept. Then they click the button to join your workspace.
After they join, a chatter starts in the Inbox, a content VA on Creators, and an admin on the Dashboard. They should also confirm their email address: see Confirm your email. For their side of the steps, see Join a team from an invite.

Manage a pending invite

Each invite under Pending invites has three icon buttons:
  • The link icon copies the invite link, so you can send it to them yourself.
  • The circle of arrows sends the email again. The same link then works for 7 more days.
  • The bin removes the invite at once. OnlyX does not ask you to confirm.
To change a chatter’s or a content VA’s creators later, go to their row in Members. Click the button that counts their creators, for example “2 creators”. Pick the creators, then click Save. See Manage members, assignments and invites.

If something goes wrong

This person already has an invite, even if it expired. Under Pending invites, find their invite and click the circle of arrows to send it again.
This person is already on your team. To change their role or their creators, use their row in Members.
OnlyX created the invite but could not send the email. The invite link is already on your clipboard. Paste it into a message to your teammate.
The 7 days ran out. Send the invite again with the circle of arrows. The same link then works for 7 more days.
No creators are picked for them. In Members, click the button that counts their creators on their row. Pick their creators, then click Save.
