OnlyX connects to Claude as a custom connector. You add it once on claude.ai, and it works on claude.ai, in Claude Desktop and in the Claude mobile apps signed in to the same account. You need: a Claude plan with custom connectors (Free allows one custom connector; Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise allow more), and to be an owner or admin of your OnlyX workspace to approve the connection.

Add OnlyX to Claude

Opens Claude with the OnlyX connector filled in. You confirm, then sign in to OnlyX.

Confirm the connector

Claude opens Customize → Connectors with the form filled in: name OnlyX, URL https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp. Leave Advanced settings empty: OnlyX registers Claude automatically, so no client ID or secret is needed. Click Add.

Sign in to OnlyX

Click Connect. A window opens on app.onlyx.ai. Sign in (with 2FA if you use it), choose the workspace, optionally limit Claude to some creators, review what Claude asks for, and click Approve.

Use it in a chat

Back in Claude, OnlyX shows as connected. In a chat, open the tools menu under the message box and make sure OnlyX is on. Then ask: “Which OnlyX workspace am I connected to?”

Add it by hand

If the link does not open the form (for example you were signed out and Claude lost it):
  1. Go to claude.ai → Customize → Connectors.
  2. Click + and choose Add custom connector.
  3. Name: OnlyX. Remote MCP server URL: https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp.
  4. Click Add, then Connect, and sign in to OnlyX as above.

Team and Enterprise

On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization Owner adds custom connectors for everyone:
  1. The Owner opens Organization settings → Connectors (claude.ai/admin-settings/connectors), clicks Add, chooses Custom → Web, and enters OnlyX and https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp. Or uses the organization link:
  2. Each member then opens Customize → Connectors, finds OnlyX (marked Custom), and clicks Connect.
  3. Each member signs in with their own OnlyX account. Only OnlyX owners and admins can approve a connection; other team members see a message that they cannot.
Every member’s connection is separate and appears in OnlyX under Settings → API & MCP → Connected apps.

Claude Desktop and mobile

Connectors you add on claude.ai are available in Claude Desktop and in the iOS and Android apps signed in to the same Claude account. In Claude Desktop you can also add it from Settings → Connectors with the same name and URL. You do not need any local installation or configuration file.

Tool approvals

Claude asks before it uses a connector’s tools, and lets you choose whether to allow a tool once or always. We recommend keeping approval on for tools that change things (send_message, update_creator, release_conversation, set_conversation_ai, resolve_handoff, update_ai_settings, update_welcome_message, create_tracking_link), even after you allow the read tools permanently. OnlyX’s tools also tell Claude to show you the exact message or change and wait for your yes.

Want Claude read-only?

The OAuth connection has the permissions shown on the consent screen. To give Claude read access only:
  • use a Read only API key in a client that accepts a header, such as Claude Code; or
  • if your Claude connector dialog offers request headers, add a header named Authorization with the value Bearer onx_sk_... (a Read only key) and choose no OAuth sign-in. Headers and OAuth cannot be combined, and connector settings cannot be edited later: remove and re-add the connector to change them.
