> You are reading OnlyX Help: the OnlyX Help Center and the OnlyX developer documentation. OnlyX is an AI chatting and CRM platform for OnlyFans agencies. Its AI chatter is called Hugo in the app.

# Connect her own Telegram account

> Sign in to a creator's own Telegram account from OnlyX with her phone number and the code Telegram sends her. Reconnect it when Telegram signs it out.

When you connect her own Telegram account, her fans keep writing to the account they already know. You sign in to it from OnlyX with her phone number and a code that Telegram sends to her.

## Before you start

* You need an owner or admin account.
* Plan the sign-in with the creator. Telegram sends the code to her, not to you. She must be able to pass it on within a few minutes.
* She keeps Telegram open on a phone or computer where her account is signed in. The code usually arrives there.
* If she turned on two-step verification in Telegram, you also need her Telegram password. She can also type it in herself on your screen.

## Sign in to her account

  <Step title="Open the Connect Telegram window">
    If you have added her with **Connect my own account**, the **Connect Telegram** window is already open on her page.

    Otherwise, in OnlyX, click **Creators**. Then click the creator. On her **Overview**, click **Connect Telegram**.

    At the top of the window, click **Your own account**.

    The **Phone number** field appears.

  <Step title="Enter her phone number">
    In the **Phone number** field, enter her number with the plus sign and the country code, for example +44 7700 900123. Spaces and dashes are fine.

    **Send code** stays greyed out until the number is complete.

  <Step title="Send the code">
    Click **Send code**.

    The window shows "Preparing your connection" while Telegram gets ready. Then it shows **Enter your verification code**, with a line that says where the code went:

    * "Check your text messages for the code."
    * "Telegram will call you with the code."
    * "Open Telegram on a device where this account is signed in to find your code."

  <Step title="Enter the code">
    Ask the creator for the code. In the **Telegram code** field, enter it. Then click **Verify code**.

  <Step title="Enter her Telegram password, if asked">
    If she uses two-step verification, the window shows **Two-step verification**. In the **Telegram password** field, enter her password. If she set a password hint in Telegram, it shows next to the field.

    Click **Connect account**.

  <Step title="Wait for Telegram to confirm">
    The window shows "Confirming your connection". When Telegram confirms, the title changes to **Telegram connected**.

    Click **Edit profile** to change how fans see her, or click **Done**. Her profile card shows **Connected**, her @username and **On her own account**.

  OnlyX passes the code and the password to Telegram. It does not keep them.

## After you connect

OnlyX reads the chats that her Telegram account already has. It adds them as history, not as new messages, so they do not show as unread. Hugo answers only the fans who are still waiting for a reply. New fans arrive in the Master Inbox as they message her.

OnlyX's sign-in shows in her Telegram app as a signed-in device. If you delete the creator in OnlyX, her account is not deleted on Telegram, and that sign-in can stay. She can end it in her Telegram settings.

## Reconnect her account

Telegram can sign her account out. Then her profile card shows **Signed out** or **Disconnected**, and **Reconnect**. A line under it can say why.

Nothing syncs and Hugo cannot reply until you sign it in again. Her fans and conversations stay in OnlyX. If the account stays down for 45 minutes, owners and admins get the **Creator signed out** alert, unless they turned it off.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Reconnect Telegram window">
    On her **Overview**, click **Reconnect** on her profile card. You can also click **Reconnect Telegram** on the first step of her setup.

    The **Reconnect Telegram** window opens. It shows her number, partly hidden, under **Account phone number**.

  <Step title="Send the code">
    Click **Send code**. Telegram sends a code to her account.

    If her account is already back online, the window goes straight to **Telegram connected**, and you are done.

  <Step title="Finish the sign-in">
    Follow steps 5 to 7 of [Sign in to her account](#sign-in-to-her-account). If the code does not arrive, click **Send a new code**, then click **Send code** again.

She must sign in the same Telegram account again. A different account is refused, because her conversations belong to this one.

## If something goes wrong

    OnlyX cannot sign in her own number right now. Connect a managed account instead. See [Connect a managed Telegram account](/telegram/connect-a-managed-account). To ask for phone sign-in, email [support@onlyx.ai](mailto:support@onlyx.ai).

    The same cause can show "Phone sign-in is unavailable right now. Use a managed account or contact support."

  <Accordion title="Send code stays greyed out">
    The number is not complete. Start with the plus sign and the country code. The number needs 7 to 15 digits in all.

    If the message reads "That does not look like a phone number. Use the full international form.", check the country code.

  <Accordion title="The code does not arrive">
    Look at the line under **Enter your verification code**: it says where Telegram sent the code. Ask her to check her Telegram app on another device, her text messages, or her calls.

    To try again, click **Use a different number or send a new code**. Then check the number and click **Send code**. You can start 5 sign-ins an hour for one creator.

    Too many codes were asked for. Wait until the countdown ends, then try again. The wait can be long.

    The message can be "Too many sign-in attempts. Wait before requesting another code." It can also be "Telegram is limiting sign-in attempts. Wait before requesting another code." The second one is Telegram's own limit.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;That sign-in timed out. Start again and Telegram will send a new code.&#x22;">
    A sign-in stays open for 15 minutes. Start again from her phone number, and have the creator ready for the new code.

    "This sign-in expired. Send a new code to try again." and "There is no sign-in waiting for that. Start again from her phone number." have the same fix.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Telegram sign-in finished, but the account is still unavailable. Contact support before trying again.&#x22;">
    Telegram accepted the sign-in, but her account did not come online within a minute. Do not start again. Email [support@onlyx.ai](mailto:support@onlyx.ai) and include her name.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Reconnect the same Telegram account to keep its conversations.&#x22;">
    Someone signed in a different Telegram account. Reconnect with the account that shows on her profile card.

    Telegram banned or froze her account. OnlyX cannot sign it in until Telegram lifts that. Her profile card says which one. Only Telegram support can lift a freeze.

    OnlyX does not have the number of this account, so it cannot send a code. Email [support@onlyx.ai](mailto:support@onlyx.ai) and include her name.

    OnlyX could not read the sign-in that was already in progress. Close the window, then open it again.
