# See the welcome message new fans get

> Check the automatic message OnlyFans sends every new fan of a creator: its words, attachments, price and switch, and read it again from OnlyFans.

The **Welcome message** tab shows the message that OnlyFans sends every new fan of a creator. You see its words, its attachments, its price and whether it is on.

## Before you start

* The creator is an OnlyFans creator, and her account shows **Connected**. Telegram creators have no **Welcome message** tab.
* Everyone who can open the creator can read this tab. Only owners and admins see **Sync from OnlyFans**.

OnlyX keeps no copy of its own. The tab shows what OnlyX last read from her OnlyFans settings page. OnlyX reads that page when she connects, then every six hours.

## See what new fans receive

    In OnlyX, click **Creators**. Then click the creator's card.

    The creator's page opens.

  <Step title="Open the Welcome message tab">
    In the creator's menu, under **OnlyFans**, click **Welcome message**.

    A card shows the message as OnlyFans holds it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the message">
    Check each part of the card:

    * **Sending to new fans** means the welcome message is switched on. **Switched off** means new fans get nothing.
    * A price badge, such as "Price to view \$9", means the fan pays to unlock the locked attachments.
    * The words of the message follow. A message with attachments and no words says "No words — attachments only."
    * Each attachment is marked **Free** or **Locked**. On a message with no price, every attachment is free.
    * "Read" and a time, at the top of the card, say when OnlyX last read the message.

If the card says "No welcome message is written. New fans currently get nothing.", her OnlyFans account has no welcome message.

## Read it again from OnlyFans

If the creator changed her welcome message on OnlyFans, read it again now instead of waiting up to six hours.

    At the top of the tab, click **Sync from OnlyFans**.

    The message "Sync queued" appears. A blue banner says "Reading from OnlyFans" while OnlyX waits for her OnlyFans account to be free.

    Stay on the tab. The page checks again by itself, and shows the new message when the read is done.

## Change the welcome message

Change the welcome message on OnlyFans itself. Then check it in OnlyX.

    Ask the creator to change the welcome message in her OnlyFans settings. Your team can also make the change in her browser inside OnlyX. See [Open browser, Disconnect or Delete a creator](/connecting/disconnect-or-delete).

    On the **Welcome message** tab, click **Sync from OnlyFans**.

    When the read is done, the card shows the new message.

## If something goes wrong

    OnlyX has not read her settings page yet, so what new fans get is unknown, not empty. Click **Sync from OnlyFans**.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Her browser is not signed in&#x22;">
    OnlyX cannot read her settings page while her OnlyFans account is signed out. Reconnect her first. See [Reconnect a signed-out creator](/connecting/reconnect-a-creator).

  <Accordion title="&#x22;The last read of her settings page failed&#x22;">
    The banner gives the reason. OnlyX tries again at the next read. Click **Sync from OnlyFans** to try now.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Already on its way&#x22;">
    A read is already queued. Wait for it: the page updates by itself.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Could not check OnlyFans just now&#x22;">
    OnlyX could not check on a queued read. The page shows the last answer it had. Click **Try again** on the banner.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;No OnlyFans page&#x22;">
    The creator is not connected to OnlyFans, so there is no welcome message to read. Connect her account first. See [Add your first creator](/getting-started/add-your-first-creator).
