# Upload to the Vault

> Add photos, videos and audio to an OnlyFans creator's vault from OnlyX. Files are added privately: nothing is posted and no message is sent.

<Badge color="purple">Owners, admins and content VAs</Badge>

Add new files to an OnlyFans creator's vault from your computer or phone. They are then ready for your team and for AI Content.

## Before you start

* You need an owner, admin or content VA account. A content VA works only on the creators assigned to them. For chatters, the upload button is greyed out.
* The creator's OnlyFans account shows **Connected**. If she is **Signed out**, reconnect her first. See [Reconnect a signed-out creator](/connecting/reconnect-a-creator).
* Each file is a photo, a video or an audio file of up to 512 MB.

The upload window says it plainly: "Media is added privately. Uploading does not publish a post or send a message." OnlyX adds the file through a private saved post on her account. Once the file is in her vault, OnlyX removes that post. This is why her OnlyFans settings for saved posts and post drafts can stop an upload.

## Upload files

  <Step title="Open the Vault tab">
    In OnlyX, click **Creators**. Then click the creator's card. In her menu, under **OnlyFans**, click **Vault**.

  <Step title="Open the upload window">
    On the **Vault** card, click **Upload to Vault**.

    The **Upload to Vault** window opens.

  <Step title="Choose your files">
    Drag your files onto the box that says "Drop files here or browse". Or click the box, then choose the files. You can pick several files at once.

    Each file joins the list and shows **Ready to upload**. To look at a file first, click its small picture. A file that cannot go shows **Cannot upload** and the reason. To take a file off the list, click the remove button, marked with an X, on its row.

  <Step title="Optional: Choose a category">
    In **Organize uploads**, click **Category in OnlyFans**. Choose one of her categories, or type a new name of up to 64 characters.

    OnlyX sends the category to OnlyFans. Leave the field empty to put the files in All media.

  <Step title="Optional: Add tags">
    In **Tags in OnlyX**, type tags separated by commas, such as "summer, behind the scenes".

    These tags stay in OnlyX, and you can change them later in the vault. The category and the tags apply to every file that shows **Ready to upload**.

  <Step title="Start the upload">
    Click **Upload**. The button shows how many files will go, for example "Upload 3 files".

    Each file shows "Transferring" and a percentage while it travels from your browser to OnlyX. Keep this browser window open until every file has moved on.

  <Step title="Wait for OnlyFans">
    Each file then shows **Queued for OnlyFans**, then **Processing on OnlyFans**. From now on, you can close the window or leave the tab.

    When OnlyFans confirms a file, it shows **Added to vault** with a green check mark. The file then appears in the vault grid.

<Note>
  An upload can take several minutes. The file waits until the creator's OnlyFans account is free, and OnlyFans then prepares it. A file appears in the vault only after OnlyFans confirms it.

## Check on your uploads later

When the creator has recent uploads, the **Vault** tab shows a bar. It says how many uploads are in progress, and how many need attention. Click **View uploads** on that bar. The upload window opens with the list of recent uploads.

The list shows the last 100 uploads of each creator. It is still there after you reload the page, or when you open it on another device.

| **Ready to upload** | You chose the file. Nothing is sent yet. | Click **Upload**. |
| "Transferring" and a percentage | The file is travelling from your browser to OnlyX. | Keep the window open. |
| **Transfer sent · waiting for receipt** | The whole file is sent. OnlyX is confirming it arrived. | Wait a moment. |
| **Queued for OnlyFans** | OnlyX has the file. It waits for her account to be free: "Waiting for this creator's current activity. You can leave this tab." | Nothing. You can leave. |
| **Processing on OnlyFans** | OnlyFans is adding the file. | Nothing. You can leave. |
| **Added to vault** | Done. The file is in her vault. | Nothing. |
| **Uploaded · check category** | The file is in her vault, but OnlyX could not confirm its category. | Check the category in OnlyFans. |
| **Not uploaded** | The upload did not go through. The reason shows under the file. | Fix the reason, then click **Try again**. |
| **Needs verification** | OnlyX could not confirm whether the file reached OnlyFans. | Check before you upload the file again. See the warning in this section. |
| **Transfer interrupted** | The file did not finish its trip to OnlyX. | Click **Resume upload**, or choose the same file again and click **Upload**. |
| **Cannot upload** | The file is empty, too big or not a photo, video or audio file. | Remove it. |

  Do not upload a file that shows **Needs verification** again before you check. It may already be in her vault, and a second upload adds it twice. First look in her vault and in Saved for Later on OnlyFans.

## If something goes wrong

    Uploads need a connected OnlyFans creator and an owner, admin or content VA account. Chatters cannot upload. If you have one of these roles, check that the creator shows **Connected**.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Maximum file size is 512 MB&#x22;">
    The file is bigger than 512 MB. Make it smaller, for example by shortening or compressing a video. Then choose it again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Choose a photo, video or audio file&#x22;">
    The vault takes only photos, videos and audio. OnlyX does not send any other kind of file. An empty file shows "This file is empty".
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Save or clear the existing OnlyFans post draft, then try the upload again.&#x22;">
    Her OnlyFans account has an unfinished post draft, so the upload could not go through. Save or clear that draft on OnlyFans. Then click **Try again** under the file. You do not need to choose the file again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Turn off automatic publishing of saved posts in OnlyFans before uploading privately.&#x22;">
    Her OnlyFans account publishes saved posts by itself, so a private upload could go public. OnlyX stopped the upload. Turn that setting off in her OnlyFans settings. Then click **Try again** under the file.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;The upload could not be confirmed. Check the vault and Saved for Later in OnlyFans before uploading this file again.&#x22;">
    OnlyX does not know whether the save reached OnlyFans. On the **Vault** tab, click **Sync vault**, then look for the file. Also look in Saved for Later on her OnlyFans account.

    Click **Check status** to ask OnlyX again. If the file is in neither place, you can upload it again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="A file stays at Queued for OnlyFans for a long time">
    Her OnlyFans account is busy with other work, or she is signed out. Check her connection status. If she shows **Signed out**, see [Reconnect a signed-out creator](/connecting/reconnect-a-creator).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Waiting for another upload to finish…&#x22;">
    Your browser sends one file at a time, even across several OnlyX tabs. This file starts by itself when the other one has finished.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;The transfer was not finished. Select the file again.&#x22;">
    The transfer stopped part of the way. After a day with nothing new, OnlyX discards the part it had. Choose the same file again, then click **Upload** to start it over.

  <Accordion title="My browser warns me when I leave the page">
    Some files are still travelling to OnlyX, or you chose files and did not click **Upload** yet. Stay on the page until every file shows **Queued for OnlyFans** or later.
