# Create tracking links and free trial links

> Make an OnlyFans tracking link or free trial link from OnlyX, keep its numbers fresh, and delete a tracking link you no longer use.

Make a creator's OnlyFans promotion links from OnlyX, and see how many clicks and fans each one brings.

## Before you start

* You need an owner or admin account. Chatters and content VAs can look at the tab, but they cannot make, refresh or delete links.
* The creator is an OnlyFans creator, and her account shows **Connected**. Telegram creators have no **Tracking Links** tab.
* A free trial link needs a paid subscription. OnlyFans offers free trials only on paid pages.

There are two kinds of link:

* A **Tracking link** counts the clicks it gets and the fans they became.
* A **Free trial link** lets a fan subscribe for free for a few days. After that, it renews at her price.

OnlyX makes every link on OnlyFans itself, through the creator's own OnlyFans account. That is why it takes from tens of seconds to a few minutes.

## Open the Tracking Links tab

    In the creator's menu, under **OnlyFans**, click **Tracking Links**.

    The tab shows five tiles for all her links: **Links**, **Clicks**, **Fans**, **Spent** and the earnings from her links. The table of links follows.

**Clicks** and **Fans** are OnlyFans' own counts for each link. Each row has a badge, **Tracking** or **Free trial**. To show one kind only, click **Tracking** or **Free trial** at the top of the table. To find a link, type in **Find a link**.

To copy a tracking link, click its short code in the **Link** column. OnlyX copies the whole OnlyFans address. OnlyX has no address for a free trial link, so copy that one on OnlyFans.

## Create a tracking link

    At the top of the tab, click **New link**.

    The **Create new tracking link** window opens, with **Tracking link** chosen.

  <Step title="Name the link">
    In **Name**, type a name you will recognise, such as "Reddit April". Use up to 100 characters.

    You cannot rename a link later in OnlyX.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the link">
    Click **Create link**.

    While it works, the window describes the work, with a counter in seconds, such as "Waiting for OnlyFans to save it…". You can click **Close and keep working**: closing the window does not stop the create.

  <Step title="Find the new link">
    When OnlyFans confirms, the message "Link created" appears, and the link is in the table.

    Sometimes the message is "Link created on OnlyFans" instead. The link exists, but OnlyX has not read it back yet. A banner then says "A new link is on its way into this list". It goes away when the link appears in the table.

<Warning>
  Do not create the same link again while you wait for it to appear. A second create makes a second link on OnlyFans, or fails because the name is taken. Wait a few minutes, or click **Check again** on the banner.

## Create a free trial link

    At the top of the tab, click **New link**. Then click **Free trial link**.

    The title changes to **Create new free trial link**, and three more fields appear.

  <Step title="Name the link">
    In **Name**, type a name you will recognise, such as "Fall trial".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the free days">
    In **Free days**, select **3 days**, **7 days**, **14 days** or **30 days**. It starts at **7 days**.

  <Step title="Optional: Limit the claims">
    In **Claim limit**, enter how many fans may use the trial. Leave it empty for no limit.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Optional: Set when it expires">
    In **Expires in**, enter how many days the link works, counted from the moment you create it. Leave it empty and the link never expires.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create the link">
    Click **Create link**, then wait as for a tracking link.

    Free trial links often do not go through on OnlyFans: if the window shows a message instead, read it. It says whether anything was made and what to change.

    When it works, the new row has a **Free trial** badge. While a free trial link is in the table, three more columns appear: **Trial**, **Claims** and **Expires**.

In the row of a free trial link, **Trial** shows the free days, such as "7d". **Claims** shows how many fans took the trial, such as "38 / 100". **Expires** shows the time left, such as "18d left", or "No expiry".

When all the claims are used, the **Claims** figure turns yellow. On a phone, and in the link's chart window, the link shows **Claims used up**.

## Keep the numbers fresh

OnlyX reads each connected creator's promotions page by itself, about once an hour. While the tab is open, it also updates the table every minute.

To ask for a read now, click **Refresh** at the top of the tab. The message "Refresh queued" appears. OnlyX reads her page when her OnlyFans account is free.

OnlyX reads her page at most once an hour. If a read already ran this hour, the next one comes in the next hour.

## Delete a tracking link

You can delete tracking links from OnlyX. Free trial links have no delete button: delete them on OnlyFans.

    The **Delete this tracking link?** window opens.

  <Step title="Confirm the delete">
    Click **Delete link**.

    The message "Deleting on OnlyFans" appears, and the row shows a **Deleting** badge. When OnlyFans confirms, usually within a minute or two, the message "Link deleted on OnlyFans" appears. The row then leaves the table.

OnlyFans stops counting the link, and you cannot undo the delete from OnlyX. OnlyX keeps what the link earned.

## If something goes wrong

    OnlyX could not send the request. This also happens when the creator is signed out of OnlyFans. Check that she shows **Connected**.

    If she shows **Signed out**, see [Reconnect a signed-out creator](/connecting/reconnect-a-creator). Then try again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;She already has a link with that name — check the list, or pick another name. Nothing was created.&#x22;">
    Link names must be different. Look in the table first: the link you made earlier may already be there. If it is not, pick another name.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;This is taking longer than it should. The link may still exist — check the list in a few minutes before making another.&#x22;">
    The window stops waiting after 4 minutes, but the link may still be made. Wait a few minutes, then look in the table. Do not make the link again before you look.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The message says to check the list before making another">
    Some messages cannot promise that nothing was made, because the create button on OnlyFans was pressed. For example: "The link was submitted on OnlyFans but could not be confirmed." Wait a few minutes, then look in the table before you try again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;OnlyFans would not take one of these settings, so nothing was created.&#x22;">
    OnlyFans refused one of the free trial settings. The message can list the settings OnlyFans offers for her page. Try again with the defaults: 7 free days, no claim limit, and no expiry.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Free trial link is greyed out">
    The window shows "Needs a paid subscription — OnlyFans only offers free trials on paid pages." Her subscription is free, so OnlyFans offers no free trial links.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Could not queue a refresh&#x22;">
    OnlyX could not ask for a new read. Check that the creator is connected, then click **Refresh** again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The delete failed: &#x22;… was not deleted&#x22;">
    The message gives the reason, and the link stays in the table. Read the reason: some ask you to delete the link on OnlyFans yourself. A delete can also be refused with "Restore the OnlyFans connection before deleting a link." Then reconnect the creator first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Not read yet&#x22;">
    OnlyX has not read her promotions page yet, so the list is unknown, not empty. Click **Refresh**, then come back later.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Could not read tracking links&#x22;">
    The read failed. This does not mean she has no links. Click **Try again**.
