# The fan panel: know the fan before you reply

> Read who the fan is, what he spent and what your team knows about him, then rename him, mute him or write notes for the team.

The fan panel sits next to the conversation. It shows who the fan is, what he has spent and what your team knows about him.

## Open the fan panel

On a wide screen, the fan panel is always next to the open conversation. To make it wider or narrower, drag its edge. OnlyX remembers the width in this browser.

On a smaller screen, click the panel button at the top of the conversation. The panel opens as a window titled **Fan**. On a phone, it opens from the bottom of the screen. See [Use the inbox on your phone](/inbox/inbox-on-your-phone).

The panel has two tabs, **Overview** and **Activity**. It opens on **Overview** each time you open another conversation. **Activity** is the fan's timeline: see [Fan activity timeline](/inbox/fan-activity).

## What the Overview tab shows

From the top of the panel to the bottom:

| Part | What it tells you |
| - | - |
| Picture and name | Who the fan is. Click the picture to see it larger. Click the name to rename him. |
| The line under the name | Who has the conversation. While Hugo has it, this is what Hugo is doing, for example "Building rapport". Otherwise it reads, for example, "Mateo Silva has it", "Hugo escalated this" or "Hugo off for this fan". |
| Badges | His segment, from **No purchase yet** to **Whale**. Then **Subscribed** or **Lapsed**, and **Muted** if your team muted him. |
| Score and bar | His Fan Quality, from 0 to 100, with a word: "Cold", "Developing", "Warm", "Strong" or "Prime". Point at it to see what the score measures. |
| List chips | The OnlyFans lists he is in. Owners and admins can click a chip to open the creator's **Fans** tab, filtered to that list. |
| **Spending** | What he has paid in total, before OnlyFans takes its cut. Under it, **Tips** and **Messages / PPV**. |
| **Subscription** | His **Plan**, **Auto-renew**, when his subscription **Renews**, and **Subscriber for**. |
| **Last seen** | **Last purchase**, **Last active** and **Known since**. |
| **AI Content** | **Levels available**: how many content levels he has not had yet. **Manage** opens the creator's **AI Content** tab. |
| **What Hugo knows** | Hugo's notes about this fan. See [What Hugo knows about a fan](/inbox/what-hugo-knows). |
| **Notes** | Your team's own notes about this fan. |

When "at least" shows before the amount in **Spending**, the amount is a lower bound. He may have spent more than OnlyX has seen so far.

In **AI Content**, a level counts as used once any of its paid media went to this fan, even if he did not buy it. A free teaser from the level does not use it up.

## Rename a fan

Give the fan a name that your team recognizes, for example "Marco (architect)".

    A box titled **Rename fan** opens. It says that the new name is only in OnlyX, and that his OnlyFans name does not change.

    Type the name the team should use. Then press <kbd>Enter</kbd>, or click **Save**.

    The panel and the conversation list show the new name. His OnlyFans name shows under it, in small text.

To go back to his OnlyFans name, click his name again, then click **Reset**.

<Note>
  Hugo uses the new name as the fan's name when he writes to him. Choose a name the fan would be happy to be called, or leave the name as it is.

## Write notes for your team

    In the fan panel, scroll to **Notes**. Type what the team should know about this fan.

    A **Save notes** button appears under the box.

    The note is saved on this fan, for everyone on your team. The fan never sees it.

## Mute a fan

Muting is a mark for your team and for AI Rules. It does not mute anything on OnlyFans, and it does not turn off your notifications.

At the top of the fan panel, next to the tabs, click the bell. Its tooltip reads **Mute this fan**. The bell is crossed out, and the **Muted** badge appears under his name. To undo it, click the bell again: **Unmute this fan**.

<Note>
  By itself, **Muted** changes nothing. It matters only when the creator has an AI Rule that uses **Is muted**, for example **Muted fans go to a human**. That rule keeps Hugo out of the conversation when a muted fan writes. See [AI Rules: automate what happens to a fan](/hugo/ai-rules).

## If something goes wrong

    Your screen or browser window is too narrow for three columns. Click the panel button at the top of the conversation to open the panel.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;at least&#x22; shows before the amount he spent">
    OnlyX has not seen all his purchases yet, so the amount is the lowest it can be. The real total can be higher.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I can't click the list chips">
    Only owners and admins can open the creator's **Fans** tab. For chatters, the chips are text only.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Muting the fan changed nothing">
    That is expected. **Muted** is a mark for your team. To act on it, add an AI Rule that uses **Is muted** to the creator.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My new name or note is gone">
    The change did not save. Reload the page and try again.
  </Accordion>
