> ## Agent Instructions
> You are reading OnlyX Help: the OnlyX Help Center and the OnlyX developer documentation. OnlyX is an AI chatting and CRM platform for OnlyFans agencies. Its AI chatter is called Hugo in the app.
> Pages at the site root (for example /inbox/..., /hugo/..., /billing/...) are Help Center articles for agency owners, admins, chatters and creators who use the app at app.onlyx.ai. Words in bold are the exact button, menu and label names the app shows; keep them exactly as written. When these pages do not answer a question, the person can email support at support@onlyx.ai.
> Pages under /developers are the developer documentation. REST API base URL: https://api.onlyx.ai/v1 (authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer <API key>`; keys start with onx_sk_ and are created in app.onlyx.ai under Settings > API & MCP). MCP server: https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp (OAuth, or a Bearer API key). In the API the AI chatter is `ai` on the wire. Money is integer US cents in fields ending in Cents; timestamps are UTC ISO-8601.
> Rules for assistants acting on a user's behalf: discover ids with list calls and never invent them; before any call that reaches a real fan or the live OnlyFans account (sending a message, releasing a chat to the AI, turning AI on for a chat, resolving a hand-off, turning review mode off, changing the welcome message, creating a tracking link) show the user the exact content and get explicit confirmation; send every POST with an Idempotency-Key and reuse it on retry; never resend a message whose delivery status is unconfirmed; never ask a creator for her OnlyFans password or codes - she signs in herself through a connect link and the OnlyX Login app.

# VS Code

> Add the OnlyX MCP server to VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode) with one click, one command, or mcp.json, using OAuth or an API key.

VS Code uses MCP servers in **GitHub Copilot's agent mode**. Add OnlyX with the install link or one command, then sign in.

## One click

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Add to VS Code" icon="plug" href="vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22onlyx%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.onlyx.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D">
    Opens VS Code's install prompt for the OnlyX server.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Add to VS Code Insiders" icon="plug" href="vscode-insiders:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22onlyx%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.onlyx.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D">
    The same, for the Insiders build.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

The button uses VS Code's MCP install link, whose query is the URL-encoded server configuration `{"name":"onlyx","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp"}`:

```text theme={"system"}
vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22onlyx%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.onlyx.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D
```

If your browser does not open VS Code, this web link redirects to the same install prompt:

```text theme={"system"}
https://vscode.dev/redirect/mcp/install?name=onlyx&config=%7B%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.onlyx.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D
```

## One command

With the `code` command on your path:

```bash theme={"system"}
code --add-mcp '{"name":"onlyx","type":"http","url":"https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp"}'
```

This adds OnlyX to your user profile, so it is available in every workspace.

## Sign in and use it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Start the server">
    Open the Copilot Chat view, switch to **Agent** mode, and open the tools picker. OnlyX appears in the list. The first time it starts, VS Code asks whether to allow OnlyX to sign in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Click **Allow**. Your browser opens OnlyX: sign in, choose the workspace, and click **Approve**. VS Code registers itself automatically; you do not need a client ID.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Ask">
    *"Using OnlyX, which workspace am I connected to?"* Copilot asks before running tools that change something.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Configure by hand

Run **MCP: Open User Configuration** from the command palette (or create `.vscode/mcp.json` in a workspace) and add:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="OAuth">
    ```json mcp.json theme={"system"}
    {
      "servers": {
        "onlyx": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
    ```
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="API key">
    VS Code prompts for the key once and stores it securely, so it never sits in the file:

    ```json mcp.json theme={"system"}
    {
      "inputs": [
        {
          "type": "promptString",
          "id": "onlyx-key",
          "description": "OnlyX API key (onx_sk_...)",
          "password": true
        }
      ],
      "servers": {
        "onlyx": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://mcp.onlyx.ai/mcp",
          "headers": {
            "Authorization": "Bearer ${input:onlyx-key}"
          }
        }
      }
    }
    ```

    Use a **Read only** key if Copilot should only read.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Troubleshooting

| Problem | Fix |
| - | - |
| The button does nothing | VS Code is not installed or the browser blocked `vscode:` links. Use the `vscode.dev/redirect` link or the `code --add-mcp` command. |
| OnlyX does not appear in the tools picker | Make sure Copilot Chat is in **Agent** mode, and check **MCP: List Servers** for errors. |
| Signed in to the wrong workspace | Run **Authentication: Remove Dynamic Authentication Providers**, remove OnlyX, then start the server again and sign in. Or revoke the connection in OnlyX under Settings → API & MCP → Connected apps. |
| "Unauthorized" with an API key | The key is wrong, revoked or expired. Remove the stored input value and enter a new key. |
