# Choose how to connect an OnlyFans account

> Compare Connect here, Connect with App and Connect with proxy, and pick the one that fits the creator's device and the face check.

OnlyX gives you three ways to sign a creator in to OnlyFans. This page helps you pick the one that works for her.

## Before you start

* You need an owner or admin account in OnlyX. Chatters and content VAs do not see the sign-in window.
* Add the creator to OnlyX first. See [Add your first creator](/getting-started/add-your-first-creator).
* Ask the creator which devices she has: an iPhone, an Android phone, a Mac or a Windows computer.

## The three ways at a glance

The setup link and the proxy link are the same link. The proxy link opens it on a different page. Both work for 24 hours and stop working the moment the account connects. The creator does not need an OnlyX account for either one.

## Which one to use

| Situation | Use | Why |
| - | - | - |
| You have her email and password, and OnlyFans does not ask for her face | **Connect here** | It is the fastest way. |
| She has an iPhone, a Mac or a Windows computer | **Connect with App** | She signs in herself, so you never hold her password. |
| She has only an Android phone | **Connect with proxy** | The OnlyX Login app does not exist for Android. |
| She has only an iPad | **Connect here**, if OnlyFans does not ask for her face | The app does not run on an iPad, and the proxy page asks for a phone. For a face check, she needs a Mac or Windows computer, or a phone for the proxy way. |
| OnlyFans asks for her face while you use **Connect here** | **Connect with App** or **Connect with proxy** | Switch tabs in the same window. |

  **Connect here** can never pass an OnlyFans face check. The browser in the window has no camera. For a face check, use **Connect with App** or **Connect with proxy**.

## Open the sign-in window

    In OnlyX, click **Creators**.

    The list of your creators opens.

  <Step title="Start the sign-in">
    On the creator's card, click **Sign in**. If OnlyFans signed her out, the button says **Reconnect** instead.

    The sign-in window opens. Its title is "Sign in as" and the creator's name. When you add a new creator, **Connect** in the **Add creator account** window opens this same window.

    At the top of the window, click **Connect here**, **Connect with App** or **Connect with proxy**.

    The window always opens on **Connect here**. The other two tabs show the creator's link and what to do with it.

## How each way works

### Connect here

You sign in to her OnlyFans account yourself, with her email, password and 2FA code. The sign-in happens in her own browser, which OnlyX shows inside the window. For the details, see [Sign in yourself with Connect here](/connecting/connect-here).

### Connect with App

The creator signs in herself, in the OnlyX Login app on her iPhone, Mac or Windows computer. You send her the setup link.

Her page walks her through the app. If OnlyFans asks for her face on a Mac or Windows computer, she does the check with that computer's camera. For the details, see [Send your creator a setup link](/connecting/send-a-setup-link).

The iPhone app is a test version that she installs through Apple's TestFlight app. OnlyFans may ask for her face. For that, the most reliable ways are the OnlyX Login app on a Mac or Windows computer, or the proxy way.

### Connect with proxy

Two people work together. She opens the proxy link on her phone. With the free Happ app, she puts her phone on this account's network. Then you sign her in with **Connect here**.

## When the sign-in works

You do not need to press anything at the end. While the window is open, OnlyX checks her connection every few seconds. When the session is live, the window closes and her creator page opens. A message says "The session is live. Importing conversations, vault and earnings in the background."

If you close the window before that, the links keep working. Her status turns **Connected** by itself when she signs in.

## If something goes wrong

    Chatters and content VAs cannot open the sign-in window. Ask an owner or admin to connect the creator. Telegram creators connect in a different way, from their own page. See [Telegram creators: how they differ](/telegram/how-telegram-creators-differ).

  <Accordion title="The window has no tabs">
    The tabs show only when you sign a creator in. If the creator is already **Connected**, the button says **Open browser**, and the window shows her live account. If her status is **Verification required**, the button says **Verify on OnlyFans**. See [OnlyFans face check and Verification required](/connecting/face-check).

  <Accordion title="Her page says &#x22;Sign in from one of these&#x22;">
    She opened the setup link on a device with no OnlyX Login app. An Android phone and an iPad have none. She can open the same link on an iPhone, a Mac or a Windows computer. If she has only an Android phone, send her the proxy link instead.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;Could not open the browser&#x22;">
    OnlyX could not start the creator's browser. Try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, email OnlyX support at [support@onlyx.ai](mailto:support@onlyx.ai) and include the message you see.

  <Accordion title="&#x22;That is not a creator account&#x22; or &#x22;That account is already connected&#x22;">
    Someone signed in with the wrong OnlyFans account. It was a fan account, or an account that another creator in your workspace already has. The window closes. See [Connection statuses explained](/connecting/connection-statuses) for the fix.
