# Why numbers differ between screens

> Match the figures on the Dashboard, in Analytics, on a creator's Earnings tab, in the fan panel and in Billing, and see why they differ.

The **Dashboard**, **Analytics**, a creator's **Earnings** tab, the fan panel and **Billing** each answer a different question. Their figures rarely match to the cent. Check the causes in this article before you report a problem.

## What each screen counts

## Check these causes in order

  <Accordion title="One screen shows net and the other shows gross">
    **Net** is "What reaches the creator, after OnlyFans’ cut". **Gross** is "What the fan paid, before OnlyFans’ cut". OnlyFans' own pages often lead with gross.

    The **Net** or **Gross** choice is saved in each browser. A teammate can look at the other unit on the same report. Some figures are always net: **Earnings today** and **Payment status**. **Top creators** is always ranked by net.

  <Accordion title="The two screens use different days">
    Reports count days in your workspace's reporting timezone. A sale near midnight can fall on a different day on a screen that uses another clock:

    * A creator's **Earnings** tab, and the times in the Inbox, use your computer's clock.
    * **Billing** uses UTC days. For a team in the Americas, a sale late in the evening is filed under the next UTC day.
    * "Today" in the **Today** report is today in the reporting timezone. On your own clock it may already be tomorrow, or still yesterday.

    Pick the same period on both screens, and check your timezone in **Settings** > **My Workspace**.

  <Accordion title="A Telegram creator's sales are missing">
    The **Dashboard**'s money, **Revenue overview**, the money in **Today** and **Top creators** read OnlyFans' earnings records only. Telegram sales are not in them. You find them on the creator's **Earnings** tab.

    **Content sales**, **Chat activity** and the **Fans** report do include Telegram creators.

  <Accordion title="Content sales does not match Revenue overview">
    **Content sales** adds the prices you asked for PPVs that fans opened. **Unlocked ask value** "does not prove that money was collected or cleared". It is also before OnlyFans' cut.

    **Content sales** counts a PPV on the day it was sent. **Revenue overview** counts a sale on the day the fan paid. A PPV sent on Monday and bought on Wednesday lands on different days in the two reports. **Revenue overview** also includes tips, subscriptions and other sales, which are not PPVs.

  <Accordion title="Billing's Net is not the same as the net in Analytics">
    **Billing** counts only the PPVs that Hugo sold. It does not count your team's sales, tips or subscriptions.

    For an OnlyFans creator, **Billing** takes a flat 20% off the PPV price as the **OnlyFans fee**. **Analytics** uses the net that OnlyFans itself recorded for each sale. For a Telegram creator, **Billing** uses the payment processor's real fee. See [Check your usage report and transactions](/billing/usage-and-transactions).

  <Accordion title="The fan panel says &#x22;at least&#x22;">
    A fan's spend in the Inbox is what he paid, before OnlyFans' cut. "At least" means that OnlyX may not have all of his older history, so the real total can be higher.

    The **Known spend** column in the **Fans** report works the same way. It is the larger of OnlyFans' own figure and OnlyX's total. It is a lower limit, not money that has cleared.

  <Accordion title="A creator's Earnings tab shows a different total">
    The **Earnings** tab adds up everything OnlyX synced for that creator, not the period you picked in **Analytics**. Its dates are in your computer's time.

    Its **Available to withdraw** and **Pending** are her OnlyFans balances. They are not earnings for a period. The tab and the reports also sync at different times.

  <Accordion title="Refunds and money that is still clearing">
    **Revenue overview** leaves refunds out of earnings. A line under the tiles gives them, for example "\$42.00 refunded across 3 sales, excluded from earnings."

    It does count sales that OnlyFans is still clearing, on the day the fan paid. To see how much has cleared, open **Payment status**. The creator's **Available to withdraw** leaves out that pending money.

  <Accordion title="Paying fans adds up to more than your fans">
    **Paying fans** counts each creator separately. A fan who pays two of your creators counts twice. The **Fans** report counts in the same way.

  <Accordion title="New fans seen is lower than the new fans on OnlyFans">
    **New fans seen** leaves out fans with no known start date, and a line under the chart says how many. It counts a fan's earliest known subscription or message, which is not proof of a first visit. When you connect a creator, her existing fans do not become new fans.

  <Accordion title="The Today card and the Today report show different numbers">
    The **Dashboard** card always counts all your creators. The **Today** report in **Analytics** counts the creators you picked with **All creators**. Pick all creators to compare.

  <Accordion title="A figure changed a few minutes later">
    Reports are not all updated at the same moment. **Revenue overview** is recalculated every 5 minutes at most. After a quiet spell, its first view can show a copy up to 10 minutes old.

    **Today** is recalculated about every 90 seconds. After a quiet spell its first view can be older. The time at the top says when it was calculated. OnlyFans' own records also sync on their own schedule.

    When a report's (i) help says "Source coverage is incomplete; totals may change as data syncs.", OnlyX has not read all of a creator's history yet. The totals can still grow.

  <Accordion title="Two totals are one cent apart">
    OnlyFans records amounts with fractions of a cent. Charts round to the cent. They give any leftover cent to the biggest part, so the parts add up to the total shown. The earnings records windows, and the CSV files you export from a records window, keep the exact amounts.

Conversations between two of your own creators are left out of the **Fans**, **Content sales** and **Chat activity** reports. They are also left out of the message and new-fan counts in **Today**. They still show in the Inbox.
